Advo’s Commercial Director, Chris McCracken did not have the typical route to business success. Below we outline some of the highlights of his journey.

Chris has been our Commercial Director since the launch of Advo 2.0 in July 2024.

Very much a ‘people person’, Chris was a top salesman at City Financial Partners Ltd in the 90s before co-founding specialist health insurance advisors, Excellenthealth with Advo’s Executive Director Colin Boxall in 2000.

Excellenthealth built an impressive portfolio of City clients making us an attractive partner for the merge with Advo (who’s strength lay in IT) in 2008.

A classical musician by training, Chris took an 8-year sabbatical from 2015 to conduct operas and symphonies in Eastern Europe and Latin America, during which time he won an international opera conducting competition.

He returned in 2023 to help Advo adjust in readiness for the move away from insurance to focus on HR and Payroll with the sale of Advo’s Employee Benefits book.

Chris is spearheading business development and strategic partnerships for Advo, the most recent being our appointment as payroll partner for TAG Community of accountants at whose annual conference in Portugal he will be a keynote speaker.

Chris is also a keen salsa dancer and gym enthusiast and has been a member of London Olympians Toastmasters since October 2024.
