Advo Who’s Who – Facilities & Estates Manager, Cricket Brookfield

Christina Brookfield, known to all as Cricket, a childhood name that stuck, is the first Facilities & Estates Manager at Advo’s Cobdown House complex, with responsibility and oversight of all the estate. This includes office complexes, with Advo Staff and tenants offices, large area of land, original Victorian outbuildings, an old cottage and the famous Grade II listed Finnish Olympic Sauna, the only example in the UK, perhaps the world. Her main role currently is overseeing the renovation of the old Victorian House, due to open as a business centre mid-2026.

“My career has been taken me across many different sectors, mainly in confidential settings and I have worked primarily in Management roles for the past 25 years.

In 2018, I decided to look for something a bit different. In the short term, I wanted a role in a non-management capacity and Advo appeared on my radar. I decided to apply with Advo because I recognised their IIP Gold Accreditation and I knew this was a company who looked after their people.

I started my Advo journey working as an Account Manager in the Employee Benefits wing of the company. This was a good place to start with Advo as the role was structured, fast paced and I was part of a larger team. I worked within this role for just over 2 years.

In 2021, a position became available as Compliance Officer, the purpose of which was to support the company’s corporate compliance including FCA and ISO. Working with 2 of the company’s Directors, the role required me to employ meticulous attention to detail, apply analytical skills and promote continuous improvement.

My role changed again in 2023 and I became the Office Manager. The role of Office Manager was considerably varied and included responsibility for Facilities, Events, HR Administration, Compliance and Finance functions. This gave me broader exposure to the workings of the company.

In 2025 I became the Facilities and Estates Manager. This role change included taking on the management of current renovations to Cobdown House (due to open mid-2026) in collaboration with our Executive Director, Colin Boxall. In addition to the renovations, all buildings and grounds within the Advo umbrella now fall under my remit, including management of Facilities.

I really enjoy my role and am very much looking forward to the next chapter!”
