Advo Who’s Who: Jenni Welch, our HR Manager

Jenni Welch (centre above) is an essential part of the Advo Management Team. Not only does she manage the commercial side of Advo’s HR division, overseeing our team of HR Consultants, she is also Advo’s HR Manager guiding and supporting our staff. Joining Advo as a consultant, then senior roles before moving into management, Jenni gives an overview of her career journey to date.

“My career has always been in Human Resources (HR) after studying a BA (Hons) in Human Resources with Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) at University many years ago.

A few years after that, I became a Chartered Member of the CIPD, an accreditation I am extremely proud to have achieved so early on in my career.

My HR Journey started working in food retail and I have moved into various different HR roles in a vast-moving commercial environments, including online retailing, facilities management, professional services.  My change management skills have come from more recent experience of healthcare and my previous role in a Education Setting.

All these industries have given me the working practices to adapt to change within a variety of business and provide legally compliant and very commercial solutions.

I have always had internal HR roles and applied to Advo for some variety, dealing with complex HR queries and learning new industries and knowledge.

I started my journey at Advo in January 2022 as a HR consultant, managing a portfolio of clients for over 2.5 years.

In August 2024, I was promoted to HR Manager, not only supporting a team of HR Consultants but also looking after the internal HR processes at Advo.

Advo have supported me on this amazing journey.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my family.
